I'd like your feedback. . . .

Dear Blog Readers:

I'd like to start doing a giveaway on my blog each time I have a new greeting card available. To explain the process a little bit, whenever I complete a painting and decide that it's worthy of being photographed, I take it to Aaron Mullins at Mullins Editions in Clovis, California to be professionally photographed and archived. Then, I can request prints in a variety of sizes and on a variety of styles and surfaces, as well as small greeting cards. Usually, I get cards of each newly photographed piece and it is those cards that I'd like to use as my giveaways. Pictured here today are "Rose Window" and "Fowl Weather Friends", both relatively newly photographed works that I have in the Ag Show at Madera Arts Council Circle Gallery in Madera, California.

I will give one of each of these cards to a randomly selected reader who responds (in the form of a comment) to these 2 questions:

(1.) What do you like most about my "Mixed Messages" blog?

(2.) What do you wish I would change/improve/update on my "Mixed Messages" blog?

The winner will be selected on November 1st, 2010. I look forward to reading your comments and making some improvements to my blog.

And the winners are. . . . (drumroll). . . . . .

. . . . comments/entries are closed on my One World, One Heart giveaways. I have randomly generated the 2 winners and now I am going to count down my list to find out who they are.

The winner of the print of "Strong Language" is Katina and the winner of the card set is Karmen (participant #704) at Moonwillow Art Studios. Congratulations to both winners. I will contact them by email right now and if I haven't had a response by midnight on February 13th (48 hours from now), I will select 1 or 2 new recipients, as needed. But I hope to hear from both of them very soon so that I can get the print and the cards into the mail right away.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated in my giveaways and visited my blog in the last couple of weeks. I am planning to take more time now and go back and visit a lot more blogs and become a follower of several that will be very interesting to keep up with.

Tired :(

I think I need a lot more sleep. Too many late nights and too steep a learning curve lately. I've been trying to master Photoshop Elements and I just can't get the hang of it. Some parts of it are getting better, but I cannot do what I want with layers. It is frustrating because I know it should be easy.

The OWOH comments are "tapering off", it seems, and I want to get back to my regular painting and blogging. Today, I am posting a new painting, I think. It is called "Tuxedo Junctions" and it seems somehow appropriate after two concerts yesterday and concert dress. It is all about "keeping an interesting white space" like a lot of my other paintings.

WOW!

This whole OWOH experience is really exciting! I've visited a lot of new blogs and plan to check out a lot more in upcoming days. I'm enjoying it all and marveling at how varied the giveaways are. I am also learning how to do a lot of brand new things. Talk about a steep learning curve! Yikes! But that's what keeps us young, right?

I can now see why people put their original OWOH post and logo in the sidebar. I'm contemplating now about what to do to adjust so that mine doesn't "fall off the bottom" and disappear from view before February 11th. Hmmmmmm. I could just not post for a while, but I made a commitment to do my best to post every day. Oh, well--onward and upward!

{Obviously, it was an easy fix to just keep changing the posting date each day to keep the OWOH post at the top of the list! Duh!?}
